January 9, 2009
Today the members of the Orchard Beach VFD say goodbye and congratulations to Chief Walt Snyder. He has been a member of the department since 1959. this past October marked his 31st year as Chief of OBVFD. He recently decided to retire from that position to take on a new roll with the company as President. Chief Snyder played an instrumental roll in the aquisition of the companies current state of the art fire and rescue units. His leadership and mentoring has been an inspiration to all. He will be missed from suppression side of the department but will surely be a tremendous asset to the administration of the company. CONGRATULATIONS WALT
