Units from the 2nd battalion were dispatched for a Dwelling Fire in the 13-02 box area. Engine 112 (3 with 1) was the second due engine company and Tower 11 (4 with 1) was the first due Truck Company. Assistant Chief 13 arrived with heavy fire from the rear of a two story duplex with extension into the adjacent unit. Two people were reportedly trapped inside. Engine 132 and Medic 13 started the search and fire attack. Tower 11 arrived and placed ladders to side A and C of the dwellings. Engine 112 arrived with a second plug and advanced an attack line to side C. Once the evacuation tones were sounded, the Tower set up ladder pipe ops to knock the fire in the involved building. Engine 112 cleared the incident around 12:30am while the Tower remained on scene until 1:30 assisting FIB.
Volunteers also filled the station shortly after the second alarm was dispatched and ran four calls with the Squad including a rescue assignment in Company 13's first due.
