April 12, 2008

At approximately 2149 hrs, on April 12, 2008, Station 11 was alerted for a MVC at the intersection of Ft Smallwood Rd and Solley Rd (11-06 box). While units were responding, fire-alarm advised that the assignment was being upgraded to a Rescue Box. Squad 11 arrived reporting a single vehicle into a tree with several occupants trapped. A second Rescue Unit was requested as well as two MSP Helicopters.

Units were on location for an extended period of time due to the position of the vehicle and condition of the patients. The Maryland Shock Trauma "GO TEAM" was requested and dispatched. However, crews were able to free the patients without any extraordinary assistance. In all, three patients were taken to Shock Trauma and one patient was taken to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
