On Friday September, 20th, 2024 at 0700 hours, Fire Chief Wayne Snyder placed our new Rescue Squad in service.
The Orchard Beach Vol Fire Dept would like to thank the Local residents for their financial support and contributions to our annual Fund Drives, Bingos and Annual Shrimp Feast that made this accusation possible. A special thanks goes out to our Ladies Auxiliary for their support through the years.
The new Rescue Squad was manufactured by E-ONE Fire Trucks (Official Site) and was sold by Patriot Fire in Grasonville, Maryland.
The new Rescue Squad carries 3 complete sets of Holmatro Rescue Tools. The new Rescue Squad is on an E-One Typhoon chassis, has a 525 hp Cummins X-12 motor and an Allison 4000 EVS automatic transmission. The new Rescue Squad has a wide variety of rescue and firefighting tools.
The newly completed Rescue Squad and equipment cost approximately $1,100,000.00. The new Rescue Squad replaces a 16 year old 2008 E-one Rescue Squad which was sold to Eldorado-Brookview Volunteer Fire Department.
