Orchard Beach Volunteer Fire Company Receives $6,400 Grant

Millersville, Maryland…. Earlier today, Fire Chief Michael Cox joined Orchard Beach Volunteer Fire Company Chief James Evans and Company President Walt Snyder during a check presentation from Exelon Energy Company. The $6,400 Grant will be used for the purchase of a new Thermal Imaging Camera for the Station. Thermal Imaging Cameras uses infrared technology to see through smoke and darkness and assists firefighters find victims, pinpoint fires and recognize structural dangers before they cause injuries and deaths. Representing Exelon Industrial Services was Vice President Glen Robinson and Senior Safety Consultant Dennis Conlan. Chief Cox and Evans thanked the group for their commitment and for the enhancement of service to the citizens of the County.
